He wasn't really what people perceived as normal. When he walked down the street, people turned around to stare at him. Even though the lightning bolt scar was covered by a simple spell that a close friend had taught him, he was too easily recognisable. His hair, though a little thinner, was messy and black as always. A few grey streaks were fighting their way through the black. His eyes were clouded from the previous night but still green and sparkling. His stomach rumbled and gave sign that a toilet or a bucket in a private place would be needed in a short while. His knee was hurting, he had no idea why. His head was pulsating. He blamed it on the firewhisky. His shoulder was aching, and he blamed that on Ginny. He had to carry her home to bed after too many shots of firewhisky and two beers. He warned her about the beer. As soon as he instinctively stopped in front of Weasley Wizard Wheezes he stretched his arms over his head and made his bones creak. The red 'closed' sign hung on the other side of the door. Drapes hid the window and anti-burglar charms were cast on the windows. The guys said he just had to knock and they would come and open the door for him.

Harry suddenly remembered the first time he saw this shop. The shop windows had stood out from a farrago of dull grey shop windows. It still did; every time he visited Fred and George Weasley the store was packed with people buying materials for future pranks. Everything seemed to hit their eyes with bright colours and sudden amazing movements, which not only cheered a lot of people up but also gave the store the attention it needed.

Hesitantly, he knocked on the door. He waited a while for Fred to open. He wore a grey bathrobe that hid his body and head completely. He didn't seem to have slept very much since last night, but it had been worth it. Seeing The Weird Sisters live for the first time since Hogwarts, feeling alive and having fun for a night, was worth the pains and the hangover. Everyone had been there, it would seem as the whole wizarding community had united over that one concert and every one had been up for a drink or ten, and up for having fun.

"Harry! Hi and goodnight." Harry chuckled and walked in through the shop. Even though the room was almost pitch black, he could almost see the very popular Skiving Snackboxes on a shelf amongst other items.

"Is Ginny here yet?" Fred nodded and mumbled something inaudible. He turned to lead Harry up the stairs to George and his apartment.

"Yes, she's upstairs, talking very loudly to the toilette." They walked in through the door that said Private. The apartment looked very odd today, even more odd than usual. The floor was littered with empty bottles from last night's before-party, empty snack bags and a mixture of sweets thrown on the floor.

George sat on the sofa reading the day's paper. Harry recognized himself on the front page yet again.

"What are they writing about me now?" Harry asked George as he set down the paper to greet Harry.

"Just that you were quite festive to be around." Fred crashed beside his brother and leaned back in the sofa. Harry ran a hand through his hair and yawned.

"Festive is an understatement," Fred joked. "The boy went up through the roof last night. Even Charlie and Bill couldn't keep up." Harry sat down on the sofa and leaned back. He closed his eyes and tried to force the nausea away.

The door to the small bathroom opened and Ginerva Weasley staggered out. Her long, glossy red hair was tied up in a very tight bun, her eyes quickly fixed upon the one man she always truly loved. She tried to smile, but it only made her look like she was going to vomit again. Harry raised one hand to Ginny. He didn't say anything and tried to look away from her, the one woman who had slipped away from him. Ginny walked to sit by Harry, but not as close as she always wanted to, only close enough to feign a touch as an accident.

"I am never drinking again," murmured Ginny, looking up at the ceiling. "How many shots did I do?"

Harry chuckled, he had done at least six with her, Fred and George did at least two and Ron did a couple with her as well.

"You did enough," said Fred sharply.

Even though neither of the twins would ever admit it, they felt like they always needed to protect their younger sister. This particular feeling had come out during the aftermath of the victorious war. Ginny had seen more than she should have ever seen and she had troubles dealing with the repercussions of the war. The wizarding world lay in almost complete ruin and people had fled Great Britain to save themselves. Amongst those who stayed back to fight, about half of them had lost their lives.

One of them had died as a hero. Remus Lupin was transformed into his alter ego, the werewolf, as the present time. It was what would be the last battle which took place six months earlier. The Order of The Phoenix was led unofficially by Remus after the tragic and unexpected death of Albus Dumbledore. During the last months of Remus' life, Tonks and Remus had settled down in a house out in the countryside, not very unlike The Burrow.

In Lupin's transformed state, he succeeded to kill several Death Eaters and wound He Who Must Not Be Named himself. He was then hit by an unknown curse by You Know Who which made him transform back into a human. Harry, Hermione and Ron found him lying there, eyes open, a smile on his face, but stone dead. The man they first knew as a Professor, then as a fierce protector was no more. It almost killed Harry to see him lying there like that. Hermione and Ron watched him disappear. The next day they received a copy of The Daily Prophet with Harry's picture on the front covering the whole front page. Molly Weasley only had to read the first line to wake up her kids from their sleep they so desperately needed. It was over. The Chosen One, Harry Potter, had succeeded.

Harry had never told anyone how he killed Voldemort. It was almost like he didn't know himself, it might have been only by a fluke or a lucky moment. Even though all of this happened almost six months ago, no one could actually believe it yet.

They had buried the last of the infamous Marauders in a peaceful ceremony where only their closest friends and family were invited. Harry supported Tonks in her grief and the two seemed to grow tighter and tighter. No one questioned their relationship. It was only natural that two people who cared deeply about the person who was deceased formed an almost unbreakable bond. Once or twice they hadbeen caught in deep embrace, but it was disguised as a comforting hug.

What they didn't know was that the two had not only been friends but also lovers until the guilt took over. Their relationship had diminished, but to this day, six months later, they still had a tight relationship and Tonks had even agreed to go out with the Weasley kids, Hermione and Harry yesterday night. They had gone out as a group and stayed together as a group.

"I am never drinking again," repeated Ginny as she turned her head over towards Harry. "You made me!" Ginny teased as she received a small teasing blow to the shoulder for her cheek.

Later, Hermione and Ron burst in the door. No one had heard them knocking or coming up the steps. Hermione and Ron had tried to be a couple during the war and would probably have been able to form a tight relationship if the war hadn't constantly tried to rip them apart.. They were close in school, but the constant bickering had put a stopper to their friendship and made it harder to form a romantic relationship.

They were only friends today, but Harry knew, as did everyone else, that those two were destined to be together. They deserved to be together, to have each other. Harry kept a sharp eye on them as they walked in. Ron still walked by the help of cane. His left knee had been hit by a curse during battles against Death Eaters after the last and final fall of Voldemort. Ron had spent a couple of days in the hospital afterwards and was then let out with a cane.

Hermione looked almost as hungover as Ginny. She had too done too many shots, but she seemed to be in a good mood.

After the war she had taken a drastic step. She had cut her hair. What was once long, brown, curly and tangled now lay on her head in tight curls. Hermione had loved it since the initial cut. Harry was absolutely astounded that Hermione had even dared to cut her hair and to let go of it in one take. Ginny had loved it and even toyed with the idea to have her hair cut off but chickened out at the last second.

"Hi Potter," joked Hermione as she sat down on the other side of Harry.

"Hi Granger," Harry replied and put a friendly arm around her.

"How's the head?" She said with a smirk on her lips. Harry chuckled.

"Fine, I am hungover but it's bearable." Harry's other hand stroked Ginny's index finger. Ginny almost flinched, as he never showed even the slightest indication of caring and affection. Not even a pat on the back.

"It was a lot of fun, yesterday." George got up from his comfortable space in the sofa to let his wounded brother sit down.

"It was fantastic; it was their best performance to date," Ron chimed in as he lay down his cane beside the sofa and stretched his leg into a more comfortable position. George walked down towards the dining section at the other end of the apartment. They never used this part of the apartment. He pulled over a dining chair.

"How were Mum and Dad? Didn't you visit them the other day, Ginny?" George asked as he sat down again.

"They are fine. Dad's still resting, but Mum said he had been talking about popping out to the shed to work a little on his latest project."

They went quiet for a while as everyone seemed to think back to the morning of the devastating attack to The Burrow.

Voldemort had been dead for over a week when the remaining faithful Death Eaters had met and planned an attack on the one family they knew was definitely connected to Harry. They had turned up at dusk, when the house was quiet. It was almost by fluke Arthur Weasley had been up from bed and could set off the alarm. The rest (Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, Bill, Charlie and Molly) fought like heros to save and protect their beloved home. They were soon joined by half of the Aurors and The Order of The Phoenix. Half of the Death Eaters were captured and the other half disappeared.

Arthur was hit by several curses. Everyone feared the worst as they gathered around him. The Weasley kids was shooed out as two big Auror's carried Arthur out of the house.

They had barely pulled Arthur out when the house gave out and collapsed in front of them. Dust soared around the house and silence fell. They looked around at each other, not knowing what to say. The silence was broken by a mixture of giggles and heartfelt tears coming from Bill. He lay down on the ground, putting his left hand to his forehead. He could be heard mumbling to nobody but himself.

"I am going to kill them."

The Aurors took Arthur to St. Mungo's. Molly gathered up her children and took them all to Harry's house, 12 Grimmuald Place, in London where they were invited to stay by the Order of The Phoenix and Harry.

The Weasley family had never been quieter than they were that night when the chock of losing their house had subsided.

Molly had rushed to St. Mungo's and stayed there the rest of the day, keeping an eye on the love of her life. Molly held her husband's hand tight. She thought if she let go the ground would open and swallow her in one take. She didn't know what to do if the unthinkable happened. She shed a tear, kissing Arthur's hand. At that time, he opened his eyes and looked into her eyes. He was alive and going to be just fine.

They started rebuilding the house the next day. Everyone worked untiringly as they started a new era in their lives. Voldemort was dead and therefore no longer a threat and the Ministry had finally taken control over the Wizarding Community.
The fight against the remaining Death Eaters escalated in the following months. Ron was injured as he fought alongside the other Order members to secure peace. Everyone thought Ron was brave for fighting the way he did, but what they didn't know was that Ron didn't know how else to act. He had gotten used to being on the front line of this war, that he couldn't live without the kick he got when he managed to land another Death Eater in Azkaban. When his knee was injured his world crashed around him. He would never be able to fight the way he had gotten used to, but with help from Hermione, he recovered and he is now capable of living a somewhat normal life.

Hermione also fought her inner battles. As she realised she and Ron were fighting a constant battle in trying to get their relationship to work, she turned her attention towards herself. She needed to change; she needed to feel like a woman. That was when she realised she had to cut her hair. It had to go, she had lived with the weight of it all her life. She needed to feel free for the first time in her life.

When she felt the hair fall to the floor, she smiled brightly at the Muggle hairdresser. She felt weightless and empowered. It was a new life and a new era.

"So guys," Ginny said. "Who's going to help me clean this mess up?"
