Haha, strange, I know. This is the story for which I received a flame, which is posted in the "Bad Reviews" thread in the Fanfiction Forum.

"Edward, please! Why can't I be a vampire too?" My heart was racing, stampeding as though it were a herd of animals across a plain. I breathed shallowly, trying to slow it, to ease Edward's pain.

"Bella, my love, it is too dangerous. The very slightest taste of your blood could send me over the edge." He was pacing now, icy hands running through the thick, luxurious mass of gorgeous bronze hair, topaz eyes ablaze. "Don't you know what I could do to you in a split second?! Can't you tell I'm too dangerous? I could kill you Bella, kill you and you'd never see it coming! I can't let myself do that to you! Don't you know that even now, even as we speak, I have to restrain myself?"

I silently drew my hand across his sculpted face; stared into his eyes like a melting sun. "I don't care. Really, Edward, I don't. If I die with you, I'll have died happy."

He chuckled. It was a musical sound, and I cherished every second of the moment. "You humans are all the same, aren't you?" A sad sigh escaped his lips. "Immediate gratification, that's all you want. What about long term satisfaction? A thousand years from now, will you still love me with the intensity you do now?"

I continued my path, coming to rest along his jaw line. "Bells, you're killing me."

"I thought you couldn't die?" I asked.

"With you, anything could happen," he murmured softly into my ear, eyes smoldering.

With great effort and willpower, I pulled back. I stared defiantly at him. "Then do the impossible. I want to live forever, with you."

"Very well. You know I cannot deny you anything, your destruction though it may be," he whispered. "Where?"

"On the neck. And wrists. In your bedroom." I knew the more he bit me, the faster the pain would recede, and though I put on a brave façade, that agony terrified me.

Edward pulled me from the shadows of the trees, past the manicured lawn, and effortlessly jumped through his open window, me on his back. I slid off onto his bed, the covers layered with a thin sheet of dust through disuse. Out of nowhere, as though he couldn't have waited any longer, he swooped down and bit me, thrice, on the neck and wrists.

Immediately, I knew no more, my memories slipping away, as I entered a haze of pain that soon became too much to bear. Vaguely, I was aware of Edward hunched over, face contorted in the effort not to kill me with the taste of my tantalizing blood he'd so wanted. All of a sudden, I realized I could no longer see him. He was somewhere unknown.

And I felt more stabs of agony.

And my vision was going dark. And the pain, that had been raw with the intensity of those thousand suns I loved Edward with, was fading. No… Wait… This wasn't… wasn't the way it was supposed to happen. He had said… had said that he could… control the vampiric instincts…

What had I done to deserve this, a betrayal of the worst kind? And then I knew death.

A million miles and several dimensions away, a twelve year old Hufflepuff sighed and leant away from her computer. "Everything, dear Bella. Everything."
