~By the way, I don't own anything by J.K. Rowling.~

Harry yawned and rolled out of bed. 7:30 A.M., the clock read as he put on his glasses. He sighed and got up to get ready for school, scarfed down some measly breakfast served by Aunt Petunia, and fled the house before anything bad would happen. And knowing that the entire Dursley family hated him-it usually didn't take a very long time.

"Hi," he called to Ron, who was looking awkward, sticking to the brick wall of the school. "Uh-hi," he muttered back. "Um, what are you doing?" Harry asked. "Oh-uh," Ron spluttered, turning red. Just then, Hermione rushed towards them, her bookbag swinging and her bushy hair flying out behind her. "Hello," she said breathlessly. "I just heard that Professor Brockman was going to give a pop quiz!" Harry and Ron groaned, but Ron's groan was a little strained. Hermione peered at him, then looked around while Ron turned pink again. Then her eyes percieved what Harry's could not.

"Ah-ha!" She exclaimed, a wicked little look creeping over her face. "You fancy Sabrina Berkovitz!" Harry spun around to see a tall, slim girl with pale skin and deep, golden hair. With hazel eyes, perfect poise, and a habit of laughing while swinging her hair over her shoulder had many lovestruck schoolboys following her. "Oh no," Roan moaned, trying to duck behind Harry and Hermione. Harry chuckled. With fiery red hair, Ron wasn't going to be hidden anywhere.

Just then, the blaring bell rang, and the sea of students pressed against the doors to get in. "C'mon, let's go," said Harry, tugging a mortified Ron and an amused Hermione behind him.
