The cold night air seeped through the golden window panes at 777 Meridian Way. The large and rich Victorian mansion was sitting on a high class street, surrounded by beautiful houses owned but lawyers and doctors. But this house was owned by none other then Albus Dumbledore. Indeed, this is the house of the now Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the man who founded the Order of the Phoenix.

The year was 1978 and the powerful-than-ever Lord Voldemort was getting more and more followers to kill and destroy anything that was good and got in their way. But now, thanks to the Order, Voldemort would be stopped. The Order of the Phoenix was a large group of witches and wizards, working together to do good things and finish the years of darkness that have been going on for so long.

Dumbledore has kindly given the Order his house as Headquarters since he isn’t there as often as he was before he got the Headmaster’s job at Hogwarts. At that very moment a meeting was taking place, discussing Death Eater’s whereabouts. About twenty people were sitting around a large table in Dumbledore’s Dining Room. Among them were; Aberforth Dumbledore (Brother of Albus), Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, Alice and Frank Longbottom, Arthur and Molly Weasley, Benjy Fenwick, Caradoc Dearborn, Dedalus Diggle, Dorcas Meadowes, Edgar Bones, Elphias Doge, Emmeline Vance, Fabian Prewett, Gideon Prewett, Kingsley Shacklebolt Marlene McKinnon, Minerva McGonagall, Remus Lupin, Rubeus Hagrid, Sirius Black and Sturgis Podmore. Two people in particular were noticeably absent.

“Where are those two?” Dumbledore whispered to Sirius and Remus, who both shrugged with worried looks. Lily never was late for anything, but she was with James Potter so anything could happen there.

“I’m afraid we shall have to start the meeting without th—

Just before Dumbledore finished his sentence, two people appeared in the fireplace, one tall and one short. It was Lily and James.

“Sorry, Professor,” Lily said at once. “We were just—

“Lily, I’ve told you a thousand times,” Dumbledore started as Lily hung her head, “to call me Albus or Dumbledore. I am not your teacher anymore.” Lily smiled.

She and James took a seat next to Remus and Sirius. They were laughing at them, trying to hide their faces which were now purple. Lily sneered but James ignored them.

“Shall we begin?” Dumbledore said again. “Where should we start? Ah, Meadowes, where are we with that Polyjuice potion?”

“Nearly finished,” a small and pudgy man with a bald head piped up. “It should be done in less then a week.”

“Wonderful,” Dumbledore complemented him. “And James, Sirius and Remus, are you still up for changing into Tucker, Nott and Avery?” James and Sirius both nodded enthusiastically with grins on their faces, but Remus shook his head.

“I’m disappointed to say that I will be otherwise engaged, Albus,” he said. Of course, Dumbledore, James and Sirius knew what he was really doing. Remus was a werewolf and that night happened to be a full moon.

“Very well,” Dumbledore tried to sound disappointed. “On to another subject, then.”

“Dumbledore, sir, I’ve got something to lie on the table,” Frank Longbottom said standing up. He was a rather nervous young man. “Arthur has just told me something he heard through the Ministry and I thought we should address it, sir.”

“Then out with it, boy,” Moody said impatiently.

“W-well, maybe Arthur can tell you,” he said. Frank gave Lily a careful look. Arthur Weasley nodded and stood as Frank sat back down.

“As you all know, Lucious Malfoy works at the ministry,” he said. “Yesterday, as I was leaving, I spotted him at the entrance with Severus Snape.” People looked at him very intently. “I managed to hear something about at the riverside tomorrow night. I didn’t know exactly, if we should act or not, but—

“But of course, we should!” Lily said loudly, now standing up. “We should attack them with everything we’ve got! Put them in Azkaban!” James pulled gently on Lily’s arm, telling her to calm down. “I will not calm down! These two people murdered my parents!” Tears started to fall silently from her beautiful green eyes. James put his hand on her back and tried his best to calm her down.

“Does anyone volunteer for tomorrow night?” Kingsley Shaklebolt said, watching Lily. Lily looked up at him. “I know Lily would find a way to get revenge for us,” he added. “I’ll go tomorrow night.”

“Me, too,” Sturgis Podmore said. A few others agreed, leaving Lily feel so much more towards them.
