A lonely face in a lonely crowd
Everybody ignores him, everybody hates him
He’s not what they all accept
But to me, he’s perfect
Not prim or polished, but perfect.

His hair, lying flat and dead across his head,
Unwashed . . . unkept . . . unloved . . . ignored
A bit like him, to be honest
But to me, he’s perfect
Not prim or polished, but perfect.

His eyes, black like tunnels
Drilling deep across my soul
Releasing his pain . . . his suffering . . . his anger
But to me, he’s perfect
Not prim or polished, but perfect.

His face, white as a sheet
Showing days locked up away, alone
Maybe that’s why he’s so withdrawn
But to me, he’s perfect
Not prim or polished, but perfect.

His heart, cold, beating beneath those ribs
Barricaded up, double-locked
Blocking my way within
But to me, he’s perfect
Not prim or polished, but perfect.

His attitude to everybody, unnerving
Making enemies, losing friends
Pushing himself into solitude
But to me, he’s perfect
Not prim or polished, but perfect

His darkness, leaving him mysterious
Mixing with dark and evil beings
Giving a sense of strength and power
But to me, he’s perfect
Not prim or polished, but perfect.

All his features tell the same story
A story of pain . . . loneliness . . . evil
The type of story that others hate, dismiss
But to me, he’s perfect
Not prim or polished, but perfect.

He’s the one for me.
