Disclaimer: I do not own any of J.K’s fab characters, they are simply sad stories in my mind. I am v. v. sad unfortunately. LoL :D (and.....Oh yeah.....HE BLUSHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Harry knocked on the door carefully. The crumbling wood was nearly worn away after 30 years of use. He looked up at the towering house that belonged to the Weasley’s and sighed to himself. He had been told to just walk in, but he still felt awkward. Especially when Ginny was there… no. he had promised not to think about her, in order to keep his friendship with Ron. He sorely missed the time they had spent together last year, and remembered the many days they had spent staring at the glistening sunsets that lit up the Hogwarts night sky. Now that was over. The war had begun, and Harry would soon have to fulfil the awful prophecy made 18 years before .Mr. and Mrs. Weasley knew exactly where their son was going, but did not know what Harry was getting himself in to. No one, except Ron and Hermione did, and Harry wanted to keep it that way. He decided to forget it was all happening, as long as he could spend christmas eve with people who loved him.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Ginny eventually opened the front door.
“Dean for goodness sake i…” she stared at Harry and looked down at her feet. She had not seen him since Bill and Fleur’s wedding, and even then he had avoided her, sneaking around pillars, hiding behind extravagant bunches of flowers hand-picked by Fleur, shoving Ron in front of him every time she came near, and pretending to be conveniently called across the room before she could get a word out. Ginny had been furious. She had wanted to hit him right there and then, slap his stupid head, knock some sense into him. He was just taking off, leaving everyone behind, not telling a soul where he was going, and breaking up with her! She was fuming at the very thought of him having the nerve to stand there, not speaking. She then realised that she had been standing there for a long time, and he was blushing under her gaze. She spoke fast, breaking the awkward silence, looking down as she did so.
“Erm hi Harry Ron’s inside, I think he’s ready now…”
She looked up again at him and almost fainted. She had nearly forgotten what he looked like in the course of a month, and now she remembered everything they had given up at the end of his sixth year. She looked into his deep green eyes and felt like she was melting into them. Harry returned her gaze. She so longed to kiss him, she almost forgot about everything. The war, the murders, it all didn't matter. Just as long as he was there...
She heard hurried footsteps down the stairs, and turned to see her big brother, dishevelled and covered in lipstick.
Great timing Ron, she thought sarcastically.
Great timing.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

*What am I going to do?!?!* thought Harry in dismay. He knew that he should do or say something that would stop her staring at him, but he had the same problem himself. He stared right back and let his eyes travel to her fringe. It flopped in front of her eyes and he felt a sudden urge to push it across her forehead, but refrained, terrified that it would break the connection. He noticed movement behind her, and coughed as Ron clattered down the stairs, wearing a bright maroon jumper and lipstick kisses across his cheek. Harry raised an eyebrow at him as Ginny let him in.
"I think mum's gonna miss me." grunted Ron in disgust. Mrs. Weasley and Hermione came out of the living room. Hermione was on the verge of teras ans Mrs. Weasley had tears running down her cheeks. Harry gave a meek smile and prepared himself for the bone-crushing hug that he would receive a few moments later. He was right.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Ginny watched her mother kiss each of the children and smiled at them all. She knew that she may not see her friends again, never get to tell Harry how she really felt... She knew that Ron would kill Harry if he ever admitted to feeling more than a young crush, therefore she couldn't predict what Harry really thought of her. She sighed, and joined the huddle of people surrounding her friends. It was going to be a long morning.
