This is my favorite of the two stories. After reading about how Hermione snogged Krum in her fourth year in HBP, I knew I had to do this. Hermione needed something in her point of view. Rate and review and I'll send you a muffin basket.

There he was. The famous International Seeker for Bulgaria, the hot and older Triwizard Champion: my date for the Yule Ball. It was amazing that something so wonderful could happen to me. How could he like me? There are so many other, more pretty girls he could like. But he picked me. After drinking some butterbeer, he held me hand and walked me into the entrance hall. “Thanks vor a vondervul evening,” Viktor told me in a sexy accent. I blushed and smiled. I should be thanking him. “No, thank you!” I exclaimed. “This was one of the…” I trailed off, too embarrassed to finish. “One ov the vhat?” he asked, curiosity in his eyes. “One of the best nights of my life,” I finally said. It might have been at the top, but I had an argument with Ron earlier. He had a knack for ruining things like this. Viktor was much taller than me, so he had to lean down to get to my height. He leaned in and put his lips onto mine. Wow, this was amazing. I put my arms around him and got into the kiss a little but more, and his hands were in my hair. Pretty soon we weren’t just kissing, we were snogging. Why didn’t I do this more often? My lips were moving passionately with his. This was my first time, but I thought I was pretty good at it. He was too good. I thought of all the girls that he must have snogged before me. I tried not to envy them. Much too soon, we broke apart. Maybe it was a good thing, because if we went too much longer I would have insisted on never stopping. “Sorry,” he said, his eyes burning. “I hear somevone coming.” The heavy door was creaking open. “I better get back soon anyvay. Good night Ermyoninny,” he said as Ron and Harry walked into the entrance hall. “Good night Viktor,” I said quickly, not wanting another fight with the obviously jealous Ron. I couldn’t tell if he was jealous of me or Viktor or both. Either way, he was being rude and stupid. I shot him a cold look while I rushed past him to go upstairs. I looked back, and Viktor was already outside, heading for the Durmstrang ship. Harry and Ron were walking up behind me, but Cedric called him, so it was just me and Ron. We walked silently, glaring at each other until we got to the Fat Lady’s portrait. “Fairy Lights,” I said, angrily. The Fat Lady looked drowsy, so she wasn’t offended by my tone. We climbed in and I sat down by the fire. Ron started to talk first. “Got you alone, huh?” he asked, and I blushed. “Bet he knows how to open the egg now?” “No Ronald, we--” “Of course you’ll deny it,” he said. “I’d too if I betrayed Harry. But it isn’t your fault. He probably softened you up first.” At this I stood up. It was mean and rude in so many ways but also just plain insulting. “So the only way he’d like me or date me is to get information, is that what you’re saying?” I asked, tears coming to my eyes. “Am I that foul Ronald? That nobody would date me unless they got something out of it?” “That’s not the point,” he told me. “The point is, you shouldn’t be with him, like I said before, he’s the enemy…” “Well, if you don’t like it, you know what the solution is, don’t you!” I yelled at him, furious. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Harry watching our fight. “Oh, yeah?” he retorted. “What’s that?” “Next time there’s a ball, ask me before somebody else does, and not as a last resort!” Ron obviously didn’t think I was smart enough to figure out the real problem. He didn’t want me spending time with Viktor because he wanted to take me to the ball. I stormed off to the dormitory, hearing Ron’s shocked splutters behind me. “Well---that just proves---completely missed the point---” Completely missed the point my ass! That was the point! I took out my hair and changed into some pajamas. Right now, I wished Ron didn’t exist, and that I was back down in the entrance hall with Viktor. I’d wait until Ginny got back, then I could talk to her about it. Harry would throw up. Ron would throw something. Sometimes it was hard having guy best friends. Parvati came into the dorm soon after I did, Lavender following her looking very happy indeed. “Did a bit of snogging with Seamus?” I guessed. She just giggled. I went to Ginny’s dorm to see if she was there, but there were a few other third years that were turning in. I waited in the common room, now that Ron was gone. Ginny came ten minutes later with Neville. Neville was smiling and so was she. “Thanks for coming with me Ginny, that was fun,” he told her before twirling and dancing his way up the stairs. “Hey, Ginny!” I greeted her, grinning. “Did you have a good time with Viktor?” she asked. “Yes,” I said, going red. “I did some snogging after the ball.” Ginny grinned, but didn’t giggle like those two flakes were doing in my dorm right now. “How was it?” she teased. I rolled my eyes. “Amazing experience. So how did it go with Neville?” I raised an eyebrow. “Hermione!” she whispered, hiding her face. “It wasn’t like that! We just danced, he loved dancing…” “Okay, okay,” I said, grinning. “Anyone you wish you snogged?” She looked at me like she had told me many times before. She hadn’t ever told me, but I still knew. “Still him, Ginny? It’s been at least two years!” She went red. “Change of subject, please?” she begged. I nodded. “You looked really pretty tonight. Did you count all the heads that turned your way when you passed?” “You are funny," I scoffed. “No, really. I counted sixteen, and that was just the guys.” I didn’t believe this either. “Come off it!” I told her. “I’m serious Hermione,” Ginny said in a serious tone. “All the girls were jealous you looked so beautiful--and maybe because you were with Viktor--and all the guys were jealous of Viktor. They obviously wanted your arm; you know, to be your date.” “I only noticed one,” I said in a cold tone, remembering Ronald’s attitude. “Oh yeah, I saw you two bickering earlier,” she said, knowing what I meant. “You looked gorgeous though, don’t be too angry with him.” I blushed again.
